The Maldives Travel Guide

When to go, which atoll to choose, the top luxury resorts and the experiences worth planning your trip around.

The Maldives is 26 atolls and roughly 1,200 coral islands scattered across the Indian Ocean, most of them no more than a metre above the sea. For luxury travellers it is the world's most complete one-resort, one-island holiday — a barefoot week of over-water villas, house-reef snorkelling and butler-served sunsets. This guide covers when to go, how to pick the right atoll and the resorts our advisors book most often.
