At the time of booking, get comprehensive travel insurance that covers all of your planned activities — not just your flights and accommodation.

  • Make sure you have all necessary visas well in advance.
  • Make digital copies of important documents and store them securely.

If you’re travelling to the EU:

  • Apply for a UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) at www.nhs.uk/ehic.
  • Continue using your existing European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) until its expiry date.
  • Remember, EHIC and GHIC are not replacements for travel insurance.
