The first 90 minutes after opening are worth three hours in the afternoon. Get to the gate 45 minutes before opening time and head straight for the headline ride.

Build in the afternoon break

Florida afternoons hit 33°C with thunderstorms. Head back to the pool at 1pm and return refreshed at 5pm — this single habit saves most family meltdowns.

Buy tickets before you fly

UK-bought multi-day tickets are cheaper than the gate price, often include extra days, and let you pre-book dated entry for the busiest parks.

Measure the kids at home

How many days do you need to do the Orlando theme parks?

Most families need 10 to 14 nights. Allow a full day per major park — four for Walt Disney World, three for Universal including Epic Universe, one for SeaWorld — plus water park days and two or three rest days for the pool, outlets and a beach trip.

Which Orlando park is best for young children?
