Best time to visit The Algarve
May, June, September and October are the pick — warm, sunny and less busy. July and August are hot and full of UK and Portuguese families. The Atlantic sea is cooler than the Mediterranean, warmest in August and September.
The Algarve airport transfers
Faro Airport is 35–40 minutes to Albufeira, 25 minutes to Vilamoura, 60 minutes to Lagos and 45 minutes to Tavira. Transfers here are inexpensive and hire cars are cheap if you want to explore.
