Costa Adeje — the smartest resort area — 4- and 5-star hotels, good beaches and Siam Park nearby. Playa de las Américas — livelier and cheaper, with the biggest choice of bars and restaurants. Los Cristianos — a proper town with a harbour, ferries to La Gomera and a gentler pace. Los Gigantes — dramatic cliffs, quiet and adult-friendly. Puerto de la Cruz — the traditional north — greener, cheaper, more Canarian, slightly cloudier.

Tenerife holidays for teenagers
Siam Park and Aqualand, jet skis and parasailing at Playa de las Américas, whale watching, quad safaris on Teide and the walkable Costa Adeje promenade keep teens busy. Costa Adeje is the safest base with things within walking distance.
Best time to visit Tenerife
Tenerife works all year. November to March is the winter-sun peak, with 21–24°C in the south and very little rain. April to June is warm and quiet. July and August are hot and busy with UK and Spanish families. The north is several degrees cooler and cloudier than the south year-round.
Tenerife airport transfers
Tenerife South (TFS) is 20 minutes to Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas and 25–30 minutes to Costa Adeje. Tenerife North (TFN) is around 30 minutes to Puerto de la Cruz but 60–75 minutes to the southern resorts — worth checking which airport your flight uses.
