Orlando Holidays 2027
Walt Disney World, Universal Epic Universe, water parks, outlet shopping and the Gulf beaches an hour and a half away — Orlando is still the biggest family holiday in the world, and it rewards planning.
Orlando packs four Walt Disney World parks, three Universal parks including Epic Universe, SeaWorld, Discovery Cove, Legoland and two huge water parks into one very drivable city. Add villa rentals with private pools, enormous shopping and year-round sunshine and you can see why UK families keep going back.
The difference between a good Orlando holiday and a great one is the detail: which park tickets, which side of town to stay, whether to hire a car and how to pace park days. That's where we earn our keep.

Best areas to stay in Orlando
Walt Disney World Resort — on-site hotels with early park entry and free transport — the easiest option if Disney is the whole trip. Universal Orlando Resort — walk-to-park hotels; Premier hotels include Express Passes, which are transformative in peak season. International Drive — central for everything, best for restaurants, mini-golf and shopping without a car. Lake Buena Vista — hotel resorts minutes from Disney with more space for the money. Kissimmee & Davenport — private-pool villas and townhouses — the best value for larger families, but you need a hire car.
Best Orlando hotels for families
Our most-booked family hotels in Orlando are Disney's Art of Animation and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Endless Summer Resort, Gaylord Palms Resort and Hyatt Regency Orlando and Marriott's Orlando World Center. We match the hotel to your children's ages, tell you honestly which pools, kids' clubs and room types actually work for families, and can hold rooms while you decide.
Best all-inclusive hotels in Orlando
For all-inclusive we recommend Universal Premier hotels such as Loews Portofino Bay (Express Passes included), Disney Deluxe resorts with a dining plan added, Club-level rooms at Hyatt Regency Orlando and villa stays with pre-paid park tickets and grocery delivery. All-inclusive standards vary hugely — ask us and we'll tell you what's genuinely included (drinks brands, à la carte dining, snacks and sports) before you book.
Orlando holidays from London
We package Orlando holidays from London Gatwick and London Heathrow, with a choice of airlines, flight times and baggage options. Prices and availability change daily, so ask us for a live quote for your dates.
Orlando holidays from Manchester
Yes — we regularly book Orlando holidays from Manchester as well as London Gatwick, London Heathrow and Birmingham. Regional departures are often cheaper than London once you factor in parking and transfers to the airport, and we'll always price both for you.
Orlando holidays for teenagers
Teenagers usually rate Universal above Disney: Epic Universe, Islands of Adventure, VelociCoaster and the Wizarding World are made for them. Base yourself at Universal or International Drive so they can walk to CityWalk, ICON Park and the Orlando Eye. Add a couple of non-park days — Cocoa Beach surf lessons, Kennedy Space Center or a Gulf Coast beach — to break up the queues.
Staying on-site at Disney vs Renting a villa in Kissimmee
On-site at Disney buys convenience: early entry, free buses, no car, no parking fees, and short trips back for a nap. A villa in Kissimmee buys space and value: a private pool, several bedrooms, a full kitchen and often half the nightly cost — but you must hire a car and allow 20–30 minutes each way. Young children and no-car trips: stay on-site. Larger families, longer stays or teens: take the villa.
Best time to visit Orlando
The best combination of weather and queues is late April to mid-May, September and the first half of October — warm, drier and much quieter once US schools return. Christmas and Easter are magical but at their busiest and dearest. July and August are hot and humid with daily afternoon storms; August into October is hurricane season, which is why we always recommend proper travel insurance.
Orlando airport transfers
Orlando International (MCO) is 20–30 minutes from Disney, International Drive and Universal, and 30–40 minutes to Kissimmee villas. Sanford (SFB) is around 45–60 minutes. We can include a private transfer, a shuttle, or car hire collected at the airport — for villa stays a car is essential, and we'll build the insurance and extras into the price so there are no surprises at the desk.
Orlando holiday prices
As a guide, 14 nights room-only in a Lake Buena Vista hotel with flights runs from around £1,100–£1,500 per person, on-site Disney value resorts from roughly £1,600–£2,200 per person, and Universal Premier hotels with Express Passes from about £2,200 per person. Park tickets are extra — allow around £550–£750 per person for a multi-park, multi-day ticket. Villas can bring the per-person cost down sharply for six or more.
7-night Orlando holidays
Seven nights is enough for one resort — either Disney or Universal — with two rest days. If you want both, 10–14 nights is far more comfortable and lets you add Kennedy Space Center or the Gulf Coast. We'll build ticket choices around your nights so you're not paying for park days you can't use.
Orlando holidays under £4,000
Yes — for two adults, 14 nights with flights, a hotel and multi-park tickets can come in under £4,000 total in shoulder season, and families do it every year using villa stays and shoulder-season dates. Give us your budget and headcount and we'll show you what's genuinely achievable, tickets included.
Do I need a hire car in Orlando?
Not if you stay on-site at Disney or Universal and stick to the parks — resort transport covers you. For villas, outlet shopping, Kennedy Space Center or the Gulf beaches, yes. UK licences are fine, and we include insurance and additional drivers in the quoted price.
Which Orlando park tickets should we buy?
It depends on your nights and pace. Disney's 14-day ticket is the standard UK buy; Universal's 3-park tickets now include Epic Universe. We'll compare park-to-park, date-based and flexible tickets against your dates before you commit, because the wrong ticket is the easiest way to waste a few hundred pounds.
